NASHUA, N.H. — Today, Democratic nominee for Governor Colin Van Ostern held a roundtable with local business leaders, Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess and others at Makelt Labs in Nashua to discuss how he will support small businesses in the southern tier and strengthen New Hampshire’s economy as Governor. In particular, he highlighted his commitment to not establishing a sales or income tax and ensuring that New Hampshire’s economy works for everyone, not just those at the top.

“Today we’re beginning the general election with business leaders, entrepreneurs and public policy experts to discuss how we can build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top,” said Colin Van Ostern, Democratic nominee for Governor. “I’m focused on good jobs, good schools, and good access to health care – on overcoming the opioid crisis and always protecting women’s health. And we’ll do it with no income tax, and no sales tax.”

“Colin Van Ostern is the leader New Hampshire needs in the corner office to further grow our small businesses and strengthen our economy,” said Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess. “Colin understands New Hampshire’s economy because he’s a business leader and I know he’ll work to create more opportunity for all Granite Staters, while keeping our state income and sales tax free.”

As Governor, one of Colin’s top priorities will be to grow New Hampshire’s economy and build a stronger workforce with no income or sales tax. Read more about his economic agenda here.
